New Jersey's Gypsy Cab Drivers was formed by ex-Outcry singer/guitarist/songwriter Jason Stanley, who in his new band was supported by guitarist Rob Meehan, bassist Stephen Greenwell, and drummer Ron Shields. Blending melodic indie rock and more mainstream post-grunge, the group issued its self-titled debut album in the spring of 2001.
